A Baxter man faces charges after a seat belt violation led to the discovery of drugs in his vehicle.
Christopher Sadler, 37, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license after he was initially stopped for not wearing his seat belt.
Arrest warrants indicate officials noticed a strong odor coming from the vehicle, allowing them to conduct a search of the vehicle.
Officials found a clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine in the glove box. A records check also revealed Sadler’s license was suspended for the Drug-Free Youth Act in 2002.
Authorities booked Sadler into the Putnam County Jail on Friday. He has since posted $6,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 30.
