Three Arrested In South Carthage Murder Investigation

Authorities have arrested three people following the death of a South Carthage man in April.

The TBI announced Tuesday 46-year-old Kenneth McDonald, 47-year-old Jeffery Kolb, and 44-year-old James Burns were all charged Friday in the death of 43-year-old Jason Neusse.

Neusse’s body was found April 23 inside a warehouse along Hunters Avenue where the victim had been living.

Investigators determined McDonald and Kolb were responsible for Neusse’s death, while Burns was involved as an accessory after the fact.

Authorities charged McDonald and Kolb with premeditated first-degree murder, while Burns was charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

McDonald and Kolb are being held without bond at the Smith County Jail until their first court date. Burns is being held under $40,000 bond.
