Three suspects arrested Thursday night after a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended on Monterey’s Highway 70 North.
Monterey Police Chief Bill Randolph said the vehicle drove through two spike strips before being stopped. Randolph said Monterey Police ended the pursuit on foot near Holly Street and Stratton Avenue after the suspects abandoned the vehicle between two houses.
The chase began in Cumberland County where Crossville Police and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department participated in the pursuit.
Crossville Police Captain Brian Eckelson said he believes the tags were stolen from another vehicle from a junk yard or a repair facility in the area.
