This Week: Pickett Applies For CDBG Funds, Fentress Purchases Rescue Gear

The Pickett County Board of Commissioners will meet via teleconference Monday.

A resolution to apply for a Community Block Development Grant (CDBG) will be up for approval. Housing rehabilitation being the purpose of funding. Applications for the grant are due in February.

The commission will also consider adopting the 2021-2022 budget calendar.

Monday at 6:00, a teleconference of Fentress County Commissioners will commence. The county’s EMA services will be requesting for a storage building. Three options will be considered ranging from $5,000 to $6,000.

A purchase of fire department equipment will be voted on. High tech rescue gear the price tag being $47,000.

Monday at 6:30, the Warren County Commission will meet via Zoom. A budget amendment for the purchase of two service vehicles will be up for approval. The commission will also receive reports from the county’s committees.
