This week in the Upper Cumberland the Monterey Board of Aldermen will hold another work session on three ordinances.
Discussions will revolve around charter amendments like adding food truck regulations and special event permits for alcohol sales. Aldermen will also work on a zoning regulation pertaining to parking requirements for commercial.
The work session begins at 6:00 p.m. with the full meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m. at city hall.
Jackson County will hold a public hearing Monday regarding uses of a Community Development Block Grant. Residents can turn out at 4:00 p.m. at the county courthouse to voice opinions.
The hearing is a required part of the application for the federal funding.
Cookeville City Council will not meet this week. The regular scheduled work session Monday and Council meeting Thursday have been cancelled.
The Sparta Board of Aldermen will have its meeting at 5:00 p.m. Thursday. The Baxter Board of Aldermen will meet Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
