This Week: Crossville Officials Update Potential Indoor Rec Facility

This week, Crossville City Council will hear an update on a possible indoor recreation center.

The architects for the project will be providing the council with updated plan drawings and price estimates. This will allow the council to work toward a decision about the facility and which features it will have to offer. The work session is at 5:00pm on Tuesday.

White County’s Steering Committee B will consider the new interlocal agreement with the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport as well as the county’s animal shelter. After the Committee B meeting, Steering Committee A meets to discuss a sales tax referendum, a subject that was tabled at their last meeting. The meeting begins Monday at 5:00pm.

Livingston City Council will discuss downtown revitalization with the Chamber of Commerce during its monthly meeting Monday. The meeting is at 6:00pm.

Monterey aldermen Monday will hear a presentation on the economic impact of Bee Rock Overlook. Meeting time is 7pm Monday.

Tuesday at 6:00pm the Putnam County Regional Planning Commission comes together to go over seven different projects and adjustments to subdivisions in the area.

Sparta’s board of aldermen and the Putnam County Board of Education both meet at 5:00pm on Thursday. Also Thursday, the Cookeville City Council meets at 5:30. The Baxter City Council meets Thursday night. Gainesboro Board of Aldermen monthly meeting set for Thursday at 7pm.

Tennessee Tech hosting December graduation ceremonies Friday. The event begins at 9:00am.
