TBI Responds To Officer-Involved Shooting In Smith County

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has launched an investigation into a Thursday morning officer-involved shooting.

The incident happened on Boyd Lane in Carthage.

A TBI statement said no law enforcement officers suffered injuries during the incident, but a subject was killed.

TBI officials said agents continue to gather relevant evidence, information, and interviews in connection to the case.
