The TBI is investigating an officer-related shooting Sunday night involving the Jamestown Police Department.
Officers responded to a 911 call around 8:30pm Sunday in the 200 block of Rugby Avenue. Officers encountered an armed individual upon arrival. An officer fired at the individual, striking the person. The reason why remains under investigation, according to the TBI.
The armed individual taken to the hospital for treatment. No officer was injured.
District Attorney Jared Effler requested TBI Special Agents to lead the investigation.
