All Three Smithville Tornado Sirens Activate During Tuesday’s Warning

All three tornado sirens in Smithville passed their test during Tuesday’s tornado warning. EMA Director Charlie Parker said the sirens are activated automatically when they are within the National Weather Service’s polygon area. Cookeville Changes Speed Limit For Portion Of Broad Street

The Cookeville Public Works Department changed a portion of West Broad Street’s speed limit to 40 MPH. The city completed a study reviewing the traffic and accident data for the stretch from West Jackson to West 4th.
