Four UC Counties Double Digit Unemployment

Four Upper Cumberland counties reported double-digit unemployment rates with Dekalb and Warren Counties among the highest rates statewide. Unemployment dropped between 6 and 8 percent across Dekalb, Van Buren and Warren Counties in May, the counties hit hardest by COVID 19 job losses. Warren County and Dekalb County posted two of the state’s highest unemployment rates in April according to data issued by the Tennessee Department of Labor.
