Jackson County K9 Ivor recovering after a near-death experience last week. Last Wednesday, Sheriffs Deputy Miquela Sullivan noticed her K9 partner having difficulty walking. The DEA has issued a warning about a spike in fake prescription pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine. Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris said Putnam County is no different, seeing a spike over the last seven to eight months. 2nd Arrest In 2 Weeks On Meth For Howard

Putnam County Sheriffs Deputies arrested a Cookeville man for the second time in two weeks on charges of trafficking methamphetamine. 39-year-old Gregory Howard arrested Tuesday after an undercover investigation found he had more than a half a kilo of meth at a Monterey home. Monterey Woman Facing Aggravated Child Abuse Charges

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department arrested the parents of a five-month-old infant on three counts of aggravated child abuse. Deputies arrested 31-year-old Kayla Crowe of Monterey Thursday. 26-year-old Dulaney Collums of Houston, MS had been arrested in February on other charges. He awaits extradition to Mississippi.
