Upper Cumberland voters are hitting the polls at a steady pace in most counties this Election Day. Van Buren Election Administrator Wayne Simmons said he has seen a consistent flow of voters at each precinct. Several commissioner races and the county mayor will be decided tonight. Some Counties See Steady Participation At Polls This Election Day

Precincts across the Upper Cumberland have seen a mixed bag of voter turnout this Election Day. Overton County Election Administrator Craig Story said the county’s nine polling stations have seen steady voting. “Typically for us, we do about 50 percent of our voting early and about 50 percent on Election Day,” Story said. “So, we voted about 1,720 something early. ...
