Jackson Co. Recreation Master Plan Nears Completion

Jackson County’s recreation master plan is set to be revealed on April 12th during the next county commission meeting. Engineering Firm Ragan-Smith Associates will compile over 400 survey results and other community comments to create the 10 year plan. Counties in the Upper Cumberland are seeing more availability to COVID vaccines as efforts continue. Jackson County Seeing Significant Improvement With Outages

Jackson County Mayor Randy Heady said that the number of residents without power has been cut from 2,200 down to 700 to 800. Jackson County is experiencing countywide outages and treacherous conditions on back roads. Mayor Randy Heady said his biggest concern are the residents without power or back up heat. Jackson Revenue Audit Moving To County Offices

Jackson County’s revenue audit is entering phase two with the county offices next to be audited. The Barrett Group of Murfreesboro has audited three revenue streams and has found $21,000 in reoccurring funds that could go back to the county.
