Expect traffic delays this weekend on Cumberland County’s portion of Interstate 40. Bridge deck repairs on US 127 over I-40 will close one I-40 lane in each direction beginning Friday at 7pm. Crossville Approves Hwy 127 Contracts

The Crossville City Council approved $1.4 million in contracts with T-DOT for the Highway 127 widening project. The contracts will begin the process of water and sewer easement acquisitions and relocations from Interstate 40 north to Potato Farm Road. Cumberland Holds Expanded Thursday Testing

The Cumberland County Health Department will add expanded testing hours Thursday. Thursday, testing will be held from 1pm to 6pm at the Health Department located at 1503 South Main Street. Crossville Ratcheting Down Revenue Plans

Crossville City Council members will look at a graduated one-time bonus for city employees when they begin considering the city’s budget. The city has suspended its pay improvement plan temporarily because of COVID-19. Power outages reported across the Upper Cumberland Sunday evening as strong storms pushed straight-line winds of at least 50 mph across the area. Three Arrested After High Speed Chase Thursday Night

Three suspects arrested Thursday night after a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended on Monterey’s Highway 70 North. Monterey Police Chief Bill Randolph said the vehicle drove through two spike strips before being stopped. Martin Elementary Renovations Move Forward

The Cumberland County Board of Education has accepted a bid to make improvements to Martin Elementary School.
