Crossville will sell property purchased for a fire station that the city no longer feels can serve that purpose. The property is 1140 Sparta Highway, containing over 12 acres. Minor Smoke Inhalation After Crossville Life Care Center Fire

The Crossville Life Care Center caught on fire Tuesday resulting in two staff and three residents needing medical attention. The five people were transported to Cumberland Medical Center for minor smoke inhalation. The Crossville Fire Department quickly extinguished the small fire located in one of the nurses stations. Crossville firefighters are fighting fires better with a ladder truck they’ve had for two years. The truck has a 107-foot ladder with a camera at the top, which allows a better aerial view of the fire.
