Byrdstown Voters Decide Against Legal Sale Of Liquor By The Drink

The liquor referendum in Byrdstown has failed based on unofficial results of the November election. One hundred and sixty-seven voters went against the legal sale of liquor. THDA Grant Funds Improvements To Four Byrdstown Homes

Four Byrdstown residents received home improvements this summer thanks to a $500,000 grant. Byrdstown Aldermen Approves Budget With Employee Raise

The Byrdstown Board of Aldermen approved a $1.4 million general fund budget Monday night that included city employee raises. Mayor Sam Gibson said the budget includes a pay increase from $10 to $12 for city employees. Gibson said the increase will hopefully benefit employee recruiting efforts.
