Spencer woman Tosha Howard, 31, faces multiple charges of driving under the influence and child endangerment from Saturday.
Authorities responded to the report of a reckless driver on HWY 111.
Law enforcement from another agency observed Howard swerving and eventually stop in the left turn lane to enter I-40.
Officers made contact with Howard and removed the keys from the vehicle.
According to the arrest warrant, Howard was incoherent and did not know what was happening.
Howard admitted she took hydrocodone which was not prescribed to her. Howard also stated she took Paxil and Vistaril which were prescribed to her.
Officials identified the passenger as a five-year-old child.
Howard failed to complete five field sobriety tasks.
Authorities booked Howard into the Putnam County Jail. Howard has since posted bail.
