Putnam County Schools will officially reopen Monday after being closed since last Tuesday due to tornado damage.
Bus 85 will have a changed route until further notice because Highway 70 remains closed. The school transportation team created new drop off and pick up points for students on Bus 85:
— 1823-1827 West Broad, 2093 West Broad will be at County Farm and Pippin Road – 6:25 a.m.
— All Plunk Whitson Road and McBroom Chapel Road stops will be at the intersection of Plunk Whitson and Shady Oak – 6:49 a.m.
— Echo Valley Dr, Long Meadow Dr, Lewis Ave, Eaton Rd, Locust Grove Rd, South Dr, Willowbrook Dr., Grand Ridge, Herald, Willow Court will all pick up at Dipsy Doodle – 6:58 a.m.
School administrators are reaching out to parents along highway 70 Sunday to communicate the bus stop changes.
School officials will also have additional counselors on standby at schools across the system to assist students and teachers.
