Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest of California Woman

A San Bernanido, California woman faces multiple drug charges after a routine traffic stop Wednesday.

Tennesee Highway Patrol charged Tina Goggins, 55, with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities stopped Goggins on 1-40 eastbound near mile marker 292 for following another vehicle too closely.

During the stop, Goggins handed over approximately two ounces of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana and approximately 12 grams of a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Arrest warrants indicate that Goggin also possessed two glass pipes with white residue in them.

According to the arrest warrants, Goggins admitted the substances were marijuana and meth.

Goggins stated she was on her way to deliver the marijuana to her sister.

Officials booked Goggins into the Putnam County Jail on a $4,500 bond.
