Authorities cited a man following a motorcycle crash in near Oak Hill Road in Overton County Thursday.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Chastin Smith was called in by a citizen for reckless driving on Highway 111 southbound.
The THP report indicates Smith turned onto Oak Hill Road, then lost control of the motorcycle while traveling too fast and turning onto Stanley Carr Subdivision Road. Smith and the motorcycle came to a rest in the middle of the intersection.
Smith was transported to Livingston Regional Hospital for treatment. He was wearing his helmet at the time of the accident.
Authorities issued several citations against Smith, including reckless driving, due care, no motorcycle license, and no proof of registration and insurance.
