Putnam Sheriff’s Search Warrant Leads To Arrest Of Two

A Putnam County Sheriff’s Office search warrant has led to the arrest of two individuals for narcotics.

The search was conducted Wednesday at the Jere Whitson Road residence of 47-year-old Johnny William Bohannon. During the search of the residence, agents seized fentanyl, crack cocaine, scales, packaging materials, and paraphernalia. Bohannon was arrested and jailed on a bond of $58,000.

56-year-old James Douglas Smith was also present in the home at the time of the search. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation and is being held without bond.

The Cookeville Police Department and the TBI aided in the case.
