As a part of National Teacher Appreciation Week, the Putnam County School System named its district awards for teachers of the year Monday.
Sycamore Elementary School Teacher Jennifer Peek, Upperman Middle School’s Charity Bowie and Upperman High School’s Taylor Key were all honored. Teachers of the entire system nominated their peers for the awards.
Eighteen Teachers total were selected by their peers to be considered. The three teachers honored were announced during a luncheon Monday.
