A Putnam County inmate faces new charges for allegedly making a weapon inside the jail.
Authorities charged Miles Brent Cumby with introduction of contraband into a penal facility. An arrest warrant accuses Cumby of forming edged weapons by grinding down and sharpening three pieces of metal.
Deputies located the items inside a sock while searching one of the pods at the jail.
Cumby originally landed behind bars for a theft charge in October.
