A Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy suffered severe injuries during a Thursday afternoon traffic crash in Cookeville.
The sheriff’s office said Deputy Chris Lynn is receiving treatment at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He’s listed in critical condition at this time.
Lynn crashed his patrol car on 12th street while responding to a call for service at 4:47 p.m. A press release said a white Chevy Silverado was also involved in the crash, but the driver did not suffer serious injuries.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is in charge of the crash investigation.
