Planners Approve Six Lot Subdivision In Putnam County

A six lot subdivision can move forward at the corner of Kinnaird and Free Hill Road in Putnam County.

The Putnam County Regional Planning Commission approved the preliminary plat for the 3.26 acre development earlier this week.

Planning Director Kevin Rush said developers do have one requirement to meet.

“For six lots we allow sprinklers if they are more than 500-feet from a six inch water line,” Rush said. This site is more than 600-feet from the nearest six inch water line. All the lots will be required to have sprinklers.”

The lot sizes range from 0.47 acres to 0.70 acres. Rush said he would make sure that developers do install the sprinkler system.

“Once this goes through final plat I will send a copy to the codes department,” Rush said. “Just saying, ‘Hey, this is a subdivision that is required to have this.'”

The Planning Commission unanimously approved the preliminary plat on Tuesday.
