Authorities arrested two Shelbyville men for felony possession of marijuana at the intersection of Highway 56 and Buffalo Valley Road in Putnam County Thursday.
In a press release, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office states 18-year-old Antonio Lanham and 19-year-old Oscar Gutierrez were pulled over after running a stop sign in their 2013 Dodge Challenger.
The arresting sheriff’s deputy conducted a search of the vehicle with the help of K-9 Banjo. The search resulted in the deputy finding over two pounds of marijuana from the trunk of the vehicle.
Both Gutierrez and Lanham were booked into the Putnam County Jail on $5,000 bond each for manufacture, delivery, or sale of a controlled substance. Lanham has since been released on bond while Gutierrez remains in the jail.
