The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office arrested a repeat drug offender during an undercover operation Wednesday.
29-year-old Cody Goodnight of Cookeville faces charges of manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of methamphetamine.
Officials said PCSO Deputies came in contact with Goodnight after setting up a meeting with him at the Spring Street Burger King. Officer arrested goodnight after he attempted to flee in a silver Mitsubishi or Infinity car.
A press release said deputies located two bags of what appeared to be methamphetamine, along with stolen property.
Goodnight remains behind bars at the Putnam County Jail. He also faces charges of evading arrest, violation of probation, and introduction of contraband into a penal facility.
Since June 2018, Goodnight has been booked into the Putnam County Jail eight times for charges such as aggravated assault, narcotics, theft and violation of bond.
