Overton County Schools Audit Finding Under State Investigation

One Overton County audit finding is under investigation by the State Comptroller’s office.

Comptroller’s Director of Communications John Dunn said they could not comment on the ongoing investigation.

“Our Office has not released a subsequent report related to this investigation, so I can’t say anything more at this time,” Dunn said. “I’m also not able to provide additional specifics about what we are reviewing or when the report may be released.”

The Comptroller’s Division of Investigations is currently reviewing certain operations of the school department.

Dunn said if any findings are reported, a subsequent report will be released.
