Online Made Here Market Saturday

The Biz Foundry is moving their Made Here Market event to the virtual world on Saturday, May 16th.

The Made Here Market was originally scheduled for April, but was postponed. Tiffany Anton of the Biz Foundry said artists and craftsmen will now have the opportunity to display and sell their wares to viewers online.

“We’re hoping that it’s a combination of getting these vendors some business, but also, a way to showcase them and highlight them and give them some advertising,” Anton said.

Anton said viewers interested in buying a product during the showcase can comment the number of the specific item and share an email address. Each item is first come first served.

“We will be the middle man and keep up throughout the day who commented first and purchased,” Anton said. “Then, the vendor will contact the person to complete the transaction.”

The online event will last from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Anton said she hopes viewers will visit the website or social media pages of the vendors after the showcase. The in person Made Here Market is scheduled for September 19th. Anton said the event will include music performances, food vendors and crafts for children.

The first Made Here Market in 2019 had over 4,000 visitors with 56 vendors.
