No Injuries Reported After Putnam School Bus Slides Tuesday

slick roads caused a Putnam County school bus to slide sideways in Monterey Tuesday evening.

The incident happened near Potters Home Center and Highway 62. School officials said the bus did not have any students onboard at the time of the accident.

Assistant Director of Schools Corby King said the driver had to wait for assistance before driving to the end of the roadway. He said no injuries occurred to the driver.

Officials canceled school in Putnam County Wednesday due to continued snow accumulation on roads in higher elevations. A number of other school systems also closed today.
