New Company Coming To Baxter

A business based out of Turkey will soon open in Baxter.

Mayor John Martin said the company, Anatolia, specializes in cutting granite and marble.

“They’re also going to have the capability of cutting steel,” Martin said. “Fixtur World is a big customer of theirs. Fixtur World is going to build the building. It’s going to be 12,000 square foot building and it’s going to be built on Fixtur World’s property with a long term lease.”

Martin said the company will invest $3 million and bring about 25 new jobs.

“We’re pretty excited about it,” Martin said. “Anything that we can get that’s job creation means a lot.”

Martin said the company plans to have the building erected by April.
