Multiple traumas Thursday have created a critical need for blood donations.
A press release states that Blood Assurance needs O-positive and A-negative donors.
Each donation of blood can save up to three lives. Patients undergoing surgery rely on the donated blood, in addition to the unexpected traumas on a daily basis.
Those wishing to donate to the Cookeville location must be 18 or older, weigh more than 110 pounds, and be in good health.
Blood Assurance is a nonprofit, full-service regional blood center serving 51 counties and more than 76 health care facilities in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia.
