The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to three separate accidents within minutes of each other on I-40 in Cookeville Friday.
According to THP Sergeant Kent Norris, all three accidents occurred in the area of exit 290 and mile-marker 291. An ambulance was sent to one of the accidents as a precaution.
Norris reports the crashes are clear at the moment but traffic may still be backed up in the area.
No injuries were reported in any of the accidents. Norris said the traffic back-up may have contributed to the accident.
