Motorcycle, Truck Collide on Cookeville Square

Authorities responded to an accident on the Cookeville Courthouse square Monday after a motorcycle and pickup collided.

The accident occurred at the corner of East Spring Street and South Washington Avenue. The pickup truck was traveling east when it collided with the motorcycle in the intersection.

At least one man was loaded onto a stretcher and into an ambulance. No word in his current condition or if others were injured.

Cookeville Police and Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene just after 5 p.m. No word on whether any citations were issued.
