Monterey Woman Faces DUI, Drug Charges

A Monterey woman faces multiple drug-related charges following an arrest made Thursday.

Authorities arrested 56-year-old Patricia Ann Holloway for driving under the influence and the introduction of contraband into a penal institution.

Officers initially received dispatch on a gray SUV crossing the center line on Eat Highway 70. Authorities located the vehicle at the Shell Station on Stratton Ave.

Officials observed the SUV for approximately 15 minutes before making contact with Holloway. Authorities found Holloway asleep behind the wheel with the engine running.

Holloway was lethargic, had red watery eyes, and slurred speech. Holloway failed three sobriety tests.

Upon entering the Putnam County Justice Center, a search of Holloway’s person revealed 9 Oxycodone pills in her undergarments.

Authorities booked Holloway into the Putnam County Jail on a $5,750 bond. Holloway has since posted bail.
