Monterey Juvenile Charged Driving Without License And Insurance After Accident

A Monterey juvenile has been charged with driving without a license and insurance and due care after a two car accident Wednesday.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the juvenile driver was with two adult passengers traveling west on Interstate 40 near mile marker 295. The driver was in the left lane and lost control while overtaking another vehicle.

The juvenile occupied vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a guard rail before entering back into the roadway and striking the rear of the other vehicle.

Both vehicles came to a rest on the emergency shoulder facing west. The other vehicle was occupied by two people ages 83 and 76.

No injuries resulted from the crash.
