Cookeville officers arrested a McMinnville woman for possessing heroin Friday.
Twenty-five-year-old Hunter Moody faces charges of simple possession and tampering with evidence.
Authorities made contact with Moody during a patrol at the Cookeville Walmart. During a casual encounter, Moody pulled something out of her pocket and pushed it into her pants.
After confronted, Moody produced three bags from her pants. One bag contained a brown powdery substance that appeared to be heroin.
The two other bags contained the residue of the same substance.
Moody had numerous failures to appear.
Authorities booked Moody into the Putnam County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
