Livingston City officials will continue to evaluate the possibility of a solar energy project for the city.
Mayor Curtis Hayes said the Board of Mayor and Aldermen has not discussed the project since the October proposal.
“We are still under advisement on that. No councilmen have asked to put that back on the agenda at this time,” Hayes said. “Now that could change but at this time, it is just under advisement.”
The board met with officials from Hannah Solar and Johnson Control in October for a preliminary city study.
Hayes said the preliminary studies showed that Livingston could save approximately 30-percent within the general fund.
Hayes said the board ultimately needs more time to decide on the project.
