Livingston Receives Grant To Help With Home Repairs

Livingston has received a $500,000 grant to assist city residents that need home repairs.

Mayor Curtis Hayes said the state housing money can be used for low to moderate income homes.

“It’s an opportunity for us to help some folks with their homes that is needing safe, sanitary and affordable housing,” Hayes said. “This would fit their criteria.”

Hayes said this is the first time in 15 years that the city has received this funding. Hayes said the city applies for the grant every year. Hayes said he hopes the grant will assist 10 home owners.
