Leslie Town Center To Host First May Market May 6th And 7th

Leslie Town Center is gearing up for its first-ever May Market this Friday and Saturday.

Director of Events Kathryn Molina said that after the success of the Mistletoe Market, she had several requests to have another similar event.

So we swill have sandwiches, cookies, we’ll have jewelry, clothes, soaps, handbags, I mean it’s everything.” Molina said. “So this will be your one-stop shop to get a gift for anyone right now.”

Molina said that they’ll have items perfect for Mother’s Day, birthdays, or graduations gifts from over 50 local vendors.

“Shop local, shop local, shop local,” Molina said. “They’re all people from the Upper Cumberland coming into one area, so what better way to support local businesses when there are 52 of them in one little area.”

Molina said that there will be a $2 entry fee. She said that those dollars go towards the Together We Care fund.

“We actually had to get rid of it over COVID because we didn’t have the money coming in,” Molina said. “So what it is, is we give out $500 per quarter to non-profit organizations within the Upper Cumberland. And we are so excited to be able to have the money to be able to do that again because we have helped a lot of businesses with that money.”

The May Market will run on Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
