A pioneer in the landscape industry will be laid to rest today.
Betty Martin Stanton Neely died Friday at the age of 91.
She was a pioneer in the landscape industry in the 1950’s and 1960’s, providing design-build services throught Middle Tennessee for residential and commercial projects. Her landscape expertise was influenced by her grandfather, William Louis Johnson of Baxter, one of Tennessee’s first commercial nurserymen.
Funeral services take place at 11 a.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home.
