A narcotics investigation in Fentress County has led to charges against a Jamestown man.

The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday 57-year-old Stephen Hicks was indicted by a grand jury last week. He faces four counts of possession, sale, or delivery of controlled substances.

Hicks also faces one count of violating the state sex offender registry. The state registry indicates Hicks was charged for three counts of sexual battery between 1994 and 1997 plus one count of attempted aggravated sexual battery in 1994.

Hicks was arrested last Tuesday following a seven-month investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and Jamestown Police Department.

Hicks is currently under $50,000 bond at the Fentress County Jail.
