Jackson Man Arrested After Pursuit In Putnam County Monday

The Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested a Jackson Tennessee man after a police chase ended in Putnam County Monday afternoon.

25-year-old Antonio D. McFern faces charges of evading arrest, reckless endangerment, simple possession, and driving on a suspended license.

According to the THP, McFern allegedly fled a traffic stop in Smith County and lead troopers on a lengthy pursuit. The chase ended in Putnam County when McFern crashed a gray Dodge Charger on Bennett Road.

McFern is behind bars at the Smith County Jail. THP officials said no injuries occurred during the incident.
