Police have arrested an unidentified person after a vehicle struck a Jackson County deputy Thursday.
The incident happened during a vehicle pursuit that started in Jackson County and ended on Allen’s Chapel Road in Overton County.
District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway described the incident as an officer-involved shooting but said no one suffered any gunshot wounds. He said the deputy did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, District Attorneys Office and other law enforcement agencies are currently on scene.
