A joint-investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Gainesboro man in connection to a fire-related homicide in May.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agents and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office charged 33-year-old Kevin Meadows with one count of Felony Murder, one count of Aggravated Arson, two counts of Theft of Property, and two counts of Tampering with Evidence.
The investigation began on May 11th after authorities found the body of 71-year-old Solomon Minder in his McCoinsville Road residence.
Evidence revealed that someone started the fire inside the home.
Investigators developed information that identified Meadows, an acquaintance of the victim, as the individual responsible for Mr. Minder’s death.
Authorities booked Meadows into the Jackson County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond Wednesday.
