Interstate 40 Traffic Stop Yields THC Wax, Oil

A traffic stop for speeding led to a drug bust in Cookeville Sunday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol charged 22-year-old Christopher John Odom with possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities came in contact with the defendant during a traffic stop at the 283 mile marker of Interstate 40. An arrest report said State Troopers searched Odom’s vehicle and found 37.7 grams of THC wax, 19 vials of THC oil, and $1,500 cash.

The report said Odom refused permission to search the vehicle. State Troopers conducted a probable cause search of the trunk and found the items inside a backpack.
