Incumbent Paul Bailey defended his position on the Tennessee State Senate Tuesday.
Bailey says he has lived up to his promise of serving the people of his district and looks to continue those efforts during his next term.
“We started out four years ago promising the people that if they would elect us and give us an opportunity to serve,” Bailey says, “that we would not let them down and that we would return to those counties and those communities to represent them and hear their concerns. I think that the votes show tonight that we’ve kept our promise.”
Bailey will serve as the State Senate for District 15, which includes Cumberland, Jackson, Overton, Putnam, and White County.
Republican Bailey defeats Democrat Angela Hedgecough with roughly three-quarters of the votes in his favor.
