A home health worker faces charges for allegedly stealing from a patient she cared for.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office charged Amber Nikole Handy of Allons with theft Tuesday. She has already posted $3,000 bond.
The incident happened in June while Handy worked as a certified nurse assistant with Zinnia.
An arrest report said she stole over 100 items of jewelry, tablets, and knives from the victim. The value of the items totaled $2,200.
The warrant said Handy had pawned the items at the Gun Shop and Trading Post in Livingston. The victim later bought several items back from the pawn shop.
Handy will make her first court appearance on September 23.
