A convicted murderer faces charges in Cookeville after threatening two people with a meat cleaver Friday.
Cookeville Police charged 65-year-old Curtis Ray Holloway with two counts of aggravated assault and violation of bond conditions.
Officers said Holloway threatened his girlfriend and another woman with a meat cleaver during an altercation on White Road. He allegedly prevented one of the victims from leaving before chasing her out the door.
Warrants indicate that Holloway has charges pending in Putnam County for domestic and aggravated assault against his girlfriend.
The District Attorneys Office said Holloway had a previous murder conviction in Texas.
