The Tennessee Department of Transportation has set a November completion date for repairs to Highway 85 in Overton County.
The roadway suffered damages during flooding last month and remains closed between mile markers 18 and 20.
TDOT Spokeswoman Jennifer Flynn said contractors will be on site evaluating the project and hauling in equipment.
“Just be aware that our people will be out there and they are doing the best they can to get these roads reopened,” Flynn said. “We certainly will strive to open them as quickly and safely as possible.”
Flynn said work will begin inside the existing lane closure at the beginning of April.
Wright Brothers Construction Company will be conducting the repair project.
